I was commissioned to produce a promotional video for a new photography studio opening up in Stalybridge, Manchester. The studio space itself is huge; the building is a converted victorian mill (hence the name Millwood) and retains a lot of it’s original features making it quite unique.
They have four different sets which are interchangeable to suit the client’s needs and tons of relevant props so it was fun for me to capture all the different aspects of the studio.
The project started out as a video for their potential clients to have a sort of virtual ‘look around’ the studio and get a bit of information about the facilities they offered. The guys at Millwood were really cool about letting me work though and pretty much left me to it when it came to capturing their workspace and took all of my direction on board when it came to the structure and content of the video.
They trusted me and gave me complete creative freedom and in the end they liked the video so much that it ended up on the homepage of their website!
Check out the video in situ here:
Jamie the studio manager was also kind enough to write these words about me:
“I hired Tom to produce the promotional video for our new photography studio based in Manchester.
I cannot recommend him highly enough – from concept to completion his professional manner helped bring to fruition all our expectations in that he really managed to portray the business in line with company aims.”
